Adegas Triay is located in D.O. of Monterrei, in the small village of Oimbra, right on the Portuguese border in southern- most Galicia. This small family winery is now run by Purificación García – Puri, and her husband Antonio Triay. Puri’s parents, Isaac García and Obdulia Domínguez planted their first vineyards in the 1970’s and are still quite active today, helping out in the vineyards and cellars. The wines from their carefully cared for vines, was first drank by family members and neighbors. Puri together with her husband started Adega Triay in 2004, in order to share their honest beautiful wines with people outside their region. The grapes are carefully selected during manual harvest, wine elaboration combines tradition with innovative, modern technologies. “Production here is very small, but the wines are riveting, with great purity and complexity.”

Godello

Godello with 5% Treixadura. Hand harvested, all estate grown fruit from Monterrei. Fermented using native yeasts in stainless steel. Naturally stabilized in the cellar. Sustainable.

Mencía

Mencía with 10% Tempranillo. Hand harvested all estate grown fruit from the village of Oimbra on the Portuguese border. Fermented using native yeasts in stainless steel. Naturally stabilized in the cellar.
