Aliaga

Country:

Spain

Navarra

Region:

In Corella, the heart of the area of Navarra known as the “Ribera Baja”, at the foot of the Moncayo range, Antonio Fernandez Aliaga and his family produce wines from their 80 hectares of vineyards, planted mainly on calcareous & limestone, in the parishes of Ombatillo, Fornillo and Montecillo. The average age of the vines is 50 years.
Viña Aliaga, named after Antonio wife’s maiden name, was founded in 1999, inspired by the enthusiasm, professional knowledge, and more than 50 years of experience in winemaking of the head of the family. Each of the vineyards is named after a grandson or granddaughter: “People differ by the path they leave, and the best path are our decedents, which are a reflection of their parents and grandparents.”
The modern winery is equipped with temperature controlled stainless steel fermentation tanks, and casks of American Oak and French Allier for maturing the wines.
